ABSTRACT: The protection of cultural and natural heritage is one of the most complex challenges of contemporary society, requiring the engagement of experts from diverse scientific disciplines. This paper analyzes the multidisciplinary approach as a key framework for the effective protection, management, and presentation of heritage in the context of growing globalization, climate change, and technological transformation. Through a systematic review of current research and international norms, the paper illustrates how collaboration between the humanities, natural sciences, technical and social sciences contributes to a holistic understanding of heritage. Special attention is given to the role of economics, management and ecology, as well as digital technology, joint management, and legislative frameworks in the protection process. The paper emphasizes that no single discipline is sufficient for comprehensive heritage protection, and that the synergy of different approaches is a prerequisite for its long-term preservation for future generations.
